THE SHELTER GROUP NAMES LO CASCIO SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT
Baltimore, Md.—The Shelter Group, a nationally known developer
and manager of apartment and senior living communities, recently named
Linda T. Lo Cascio Senior Vice President. In this position Ms. Lo
Cascio is responsible for Shelter's Affordable Housing Group and oversees
a group of developers, project managers and financial staff who are
responsible for the company's mixed-income and affordable development
work, including the process of identifying and applying for the related
tax-credit financing that makes affordable housing possible.
Marilynn Duker, President of Shelter Development, notes that "Linda
Lo Cascio brings a tremendous breadth and depth of development experience
to Shelter. She is widely respected for her vision, leadership skills,
and her ability to make things happen. We are very fortunate to
have her join us to lead our Affordable Housing Group, an important
cornerstone of Shelter's growth plans."
Prior to joining Shelter in 2005, Linda was a Vice President at
Struever Bros. Eccles and Rouse, a national development firm headquartered
in Baltimore. At Struever Bros., she was responsible for the acquisition,
financing and development of multiple mixed-use real estate projects,
including office, residential, retail, hotel, parking and public
uses. She was responsible for projects with a combined value in
excess of $300 million, including projects in Baltimore, Durham,
North Carolina, and Nashville Tennessee. Prior to this, she was
a Development Director at The Rouse Company. Before entering the
development business, she served as Vice President of Operations
for Allegheny General Hospital.
Linda serves on the Board of the House of Ruth. She is a Cum Laude
graduate of the University of Virginia and has a Master of Public
Health degree from the University of Pittsburgh.
