The first residents of Somerset Commons, an affordable garden apartment community designed for families, have moved into their new homes.

Somerset Commons offers 2 or 3 bedroom apartment homes in an intimate community setting. Developed by The Shelter Group and managed by Shelter Properties, the community offers quality services and amenities combined with convenience and affordability.

“We are delighted to provide new housing options to meet the needs of families in the Princess Anne area. As we build each new family living community, we continue to upgrade our building standards to improve energy efficiency and include additional features specifically designed for today’s busy families,” said Diane Edwards, Vice President of Operations at Shelter Properties. “The opening of our newest community has generated excitement within the community and our residents are extremely pleased with their new homes.”

The bright, spacious apartments feature balconies, fully equipped kitchens and washers and dryers. The community design includes common areas and green spaces, including a playground, computer room, community center and fitness center. Somerset Commons is conveniently located near local shopping venues, schools, employment opportunities and public transportation.

After school programs, robust social and recreational programming and access to social services provide value and an increased quality of life for busy families.

Somerset Commons is one of fourteen affordable family living communities in the Mid-Atalantic managed by Shelter Properties. The community was developed by The Shelter Group of Baltimore, MD.
